The first case of Coronavirus started of in China in early November 2019. It made it's way to Ireland and the first case was announced by the Public Health Emergency Service on Saturday the 29th of Febuary 2020. On Sunday the 1st of March one Dublin school announced it was closing for two weeks after a number of their pupils had recently returned from Italy. A COVID-19 case was confirmed in Trinity college and this resulted in the closure of the University firstly to the public and then to all the staff and students.
