Expect some traffic disruption in the area. Traffic diversions have been put in place and a One way system will operate in a North to South direction. Works starting January 2019 along Clanbrassil Street, Church Street and part of Bridge Street (to St Nicholas Church) and will involve the provision of wider granite footpaths, asphalt parking bays, planting and seating areas, and the upgrading of public lighting. The project is part funded by the European Regional Development fund and will cost in the region of €5m. This follows on from the successful transformation of the Market Square project and continues with the overall regeneration of Dundalk town centre.John Cradock Ltd will undertake this current project and also done the Market Square upgrading and improvement works.
